Madrid, New Mexico

This painting is of the old mining company houses erected for the Great Mining Boom of New Mexico in 1850. These relics are part of the ghost town which lies to the East of Albuquerque. Today some of the old structures have been remodeled and converted into shops. The painting was done on watercolor 140# paper with a Hero pen, Noodlers black ink, and watercolors.

Across the Creek

A sketch looking across Medicine Creek toward the ice cream store in downtown Medicine Park. The creek at this point crosses over several areas of rock causing some small rapids as it moves to the south. Great ice cream by the way!!

Where's the House Going???

Just down the street from my house I saw these three men atop the retaining wall probably wondering where the new proposed house will be constructed. It should be interesting. When completed, I will sketch the structure.

This was sketched with a Kaimei brush pen with added pastels.
